Skrill South leaders Bromley will make the short trip to Stonebridge Road to face Ebbsfleet United in a game that not only pits Kent rivals together but also sees the leaders travel to the side currently sixth. All this of course as well just a few short weeks before the two sides meet twice over Christmas too – it could be quite a contest!
Of the other confirmed ties, Tommy Warrilow will take no chances at all as his Tonbridge Angels side welcome Ryman North AFC Sudbury to Longemead, whilst Margate’s reward for Saturday’s 4-1 thumping of Clevedon is another home tie against Calor Southern Premier Division pacesetters Chesham United. Dover Athletic enter the competition with a home side against Bath City, and will be confident of progress after they beat the west country side in Bath back in September.
Elsewhere, Tim Dixon’s Ramsgate will travel to either Ryman North Wingate and Finchley, or FA Cup minnows Daventry Town, who just seven days before before the Trophy tie will be flying the Non League flag at SKYBet League Two Chesterfield.
Our other four sides must win replays to progress – with mixed outcomes if they do.
The winners of WEDNESDAY’s Kent Derby replay between Hythe Town and Whitstable Town will travel to Ryman Premier strugglers Carshalton Town, which if Neil Cugley’s Folkestone Invicta beat Hungerford Town in the replay, they will host Hemel Hempstead Town, whilst Maidstone United’s potential reward if they can get past Wealdstone will be a mouth watering tie against Skrill South high flyers Eastleigh.
Ties will be played on the weekend of November 16th, and to confirm the draw involving Kent sides is as follows;
Wingate & Finchley or Daventry Town v Ramsgate
Carshalton Athletic v Hythe Town or Whitstable Town
Tonbridge Angels v AFC Sudbury
Dover Athletic v Bath City
Folkestone Invicta or Hungerford Town v Hemel Hempstead Town
Ebbsfleet United v Bromley
Wealdstone or Maidstone United v Eastleigh
Margate v Chesham United
