A Kent charity is looking for support to secure £200,000 in funding and giving the chance to win FA Cup Final tickets.
Street Soccer Foundation are a local charity who support vulnerable and homeless young people in to work, education and training.
They are partnered with Gillingham Football Club to deliver a 10-week football themed employability programme from K Sports in Aylesford.
They have a 100% success rate to date – every young graduate is now in work, training or education!
They have some great case studies – including Michael who was homeless at 21 who now works for Barnet FC and Chelsie who was homeless and in a lot of trouble with the police, but is now studying a law degree.
They have been shortlisted to win the Persimmon Homes Healthy Communities Champion competition and are the only Kent charity in the final 30.
If they win, they will receive £200,000. Enough for them to run 40-50 more sessions across Kent, supporting over 400 homeless and vulnerable people.
They have been donated two tickets to the FA Cup Final on Saturday 19th May and are running a competition on their Facebook page to encourage people to vote for them – https://m.facebook.com/Street-Soccer-Foundation-1694567177244615/
