With the new cricket season just a few months away, Kent Cricket have confirmed two pre-season fixtures.

Under the leadership of Rob Key who will captain the side for a second spell in 2014, Kent will take on a Durham side in a white ball game of cricket over two days on Monday 31st March and Tuesday 1st April at the Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence in Canterbury.

The team will then face Essex over two days of cricket at Chelmsford on Thursday 3rd and Friday 4th April.

Kent will then face Loughborough MCCU at Canterbury in a 3 day game beginning on Monday 7th April before starting their County Championship campaign away to Worcestershire on Sunday 13th April.

It has also been announced that Rob Key’s side will also face New Zealand ‘A’ in a 3-day fixture at The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence from Monday 25th August (Bank Holiday) to Wednesday 27th August.
