Kelman makes Gillingham return

Gillingham have bolstered their squad further by announcing that striker Charlie Kelman is back with the club.

Kelman has agreed to return to Gills on loan from Queens Park Rangers until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old played eight times for the club earlier in the campaign before heading back to Loftus Road, but Steve Lovell has agreed a deal to bring the striker back to Kent.

The former Southend man, who is a United States U20 international, has been allocated squad number 33 and, subject to EFL approval, is available for selection on Saturday at home to Burton Albion.

Kelman clearly fell out of favour under former manager Steve Evans and was allowed to return to Loftus Road despite being set to stay at Priestfield for the whole season.

The return of Lovell to Gillingham has seen a reverse on that decision and Kelman is back in favour once again and will be hoping he can replicate the form that’s seen him impress for QPR’s Under 23s side.
