After 9 years as County Welfare Officer for Kent Cricket Board, Dave Nash has stepped down from the role.
Clair Gould, Director of Operations at KCB said “Dave has made a magnificent contribution to safeguarding in cricket in Kent. He has worked tirelessly during the time he has been with us, setting up new systems and promoting a safeguarding culture throughout the county. We wish him well in his future endeavors”.
Bridget Owen, who was deputy to Dave, has taken over the role. Bridget has a wealth of experience of safeguarding within sport. She is currently Lead Welfare Officer for British Ski and Snowboarding; previous roles in cricket include many years of voluntary roles at grassroots level as Club Welfare Officer of a village cricket club and Shepway district welfare officer. Bridget has also been supporting the Kent County Councils Sport Office in developing best practice across sports.
Bridget said “I am delighted to be taking on this role. I look forward to building on the excellent work Dave has done and promote safeguarding within all cricket clubs working with under 18s in Cricket in Kent.”
