Rochester based Jamun racing returned to form in the first race of the Formula Ford Championship of Great Britain at Oulton Park this afternoon.
Nico Maranzana took the final place on the podium and in his first Formula Ford race in Britain Jayde Kruger came home in fourth place.
They both benefited from the unfortunate demise of teammate Juan Rosso who had been in third place up until the last lap, having battled second placed Sam Brabham all the way during the race.
Once again though it was Dan Cammish who made it a perfect ten for this season, as he won his tenth straight race from pole position, to further underline his dominance in the Championship, it is becoming clear that there isn’t going to be many people this season.
Rosso had been bidding his time to make a move on the second place Brabham, and he decided that the final lap was the one that he made a move. He might have made a move stick but he clipped the kerbs at Knickerbrook and spun out.
Kruger wasn’t without his issues in his first race weekend with the Jamun team as his engine cut out earlier in the race, and he lost time with the restarting and resetting it to get going again, so he did well to come home in fourth place.
The team will be back on grid tomorrow for the next races of the season and that will be part of the ITV coverage of the British Touring Cars.
