Rochester based Jamun Racing will be lining up back on the grid for the latest round of the Formula Renault Championship.
This weekend they head to the Snetterton 200 circuit for the first triple header of the season both Pietro Fittipaldi and Diego Menchaca will be hoping to score some good points in the second race meeting of the season.
There will be twenty drivers lining up on the grid for some of the wheel to wheel racing and they will all be looking to beat Chris Middlehurst who came away from Donington Park with a full twenty point lead. He won in race one as well as netting the fastest lap time and then finished as runner-up in race two.
By contract for Fittipaldi and Menchaca racing for the local boys Jamun had a difficult weekend at Donington Park. With Fittipaldi finishing the better of the two drivers with a ninth place finish in race two of the weekend.
This will give the team and the two driver’s confidence that they can go into the three races at Snetterton this weekend and score some good points to get their season up and running fully.
Mexican driver Jorge Cevallos who is Middlehurst’s teammate is second in the standings in the Championship jointly with Joe Ghanem.
The qualifying for rounds three and four will take place at 9am on Saturday 11th May, with the third race of the season getting underway at 16:15. Then on Sunday 12th May races four and five will take place, with round four getting underway at 11:05 and race five starting at 15:30.
