The British Formula Ford Championship kicks off its 2013 season at Brands Hatch this Easter Weekend, as it returns as a support series to the BTCC.
Rochester based racing team Jamun Racing will once again be lining up on the gird, as it looks to compete for the title that it has several times in recent years.
They will be boosted this weekend by the return of 2011 Formula Ford Championship winning driver Scott Malvern.
Malvern swept the field in 2011, whilst racing for Jamun Racing winning 18 of the 24 races throughout the season.
He will be joined in the new Eco Boost 200 car for the 2013 season by the experienced Luke Williams who is also returning to Formula Ford. They will both be joined by Argentinean pair Juan Angel-Rosso and Nico Maranzana, who will be racing in Formula Ford in their rookie season.
Jamun has a rich and successful history in the Formula Ford Championship of Great Britain taking the title for seven consecutive seasons from 2005 to 2011. Last season they finished as runners-up in the Championship.
This season with their newly established driver line-up they will be looking to take back the title that they have won and successfully defended for so many seasons.
Speaking ahead of the season opener team principal James Mundy, said: “We have a strong driver line-up with Scott and Luke very experienced.
“Juan and Nico are very exciting talented young drivers in their first year of car racing. Juan has unfortunately suffered a broken hand in a testing accident so will miss the first rounds this weekend.”
Formula Ford is the only single seater support race for the British Touring Car Championship, and has three races per weekend.
