A young British racing champion from Kent is the latest motorsport expert to pledge his support of the team.

Aged just 21, Tom Jackson has years of experience in top racing series, having started his driving career at the age of just 15.

Tom, who lives in Maidstone, will be supporting the team this year, acting as a driver coach and mentor to the team’s drivers as they enter GT racing for the first time.

Tom will be bringing his expert advice and coaching to the team, gained from competing in a range of cars and championships.  He had a number of podium finishes in the Ginetta Junior Championship aged 15, he finished 3rd in the BDRC F4 Championship in 2015 and in 2016 he moved to the European Le Mans series in the LMP3 class.  He was asked by top LMP2 racing team JOTA Sport to complete the World Endurance Championship young driver test in Bahrain.

Then, in 2017 he competed in the Road to Le Mans series in support of the 24 hours of Le Mans, winning both his races in an Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3. As well as competing in the Abu Dhabi 12 hours and finishing second in class.

Tom met the team at their recent test event at Brands Hatch and was immediately keen to get involved.

Tom said “The unity of this team, is on another level. As soon as I walked into the pit garage to meet the team the professionalism and friendliness won me over. What they are trying to achieve and with the mentality and moral the whole team has is inspirational. So I can’t wait to get working and help the team reach their goals and prove people wrong”

Team BRIT Founder Dave Player, “We are extremely grateful to Tom for giving up his time to help our drivers.  Moving to GT racing will be a big step forward for us but also a huge challenge, so the help of experts such as Tom is crucial.  We look forward to working with him this year.”
