Without the plethora of signings of last summer, the new squad numbers are much the same as the previous campaign.

Paul Hayes, who has been told he is free to look for another club, has unsurprisingly lost the number 9 shirt and been given number 39 instead. Another unwanted striker, Leon Clarke, retains number 40.

Many expected Yann Kermorgant to be this season’s number 9 but it seems the Frenchman opted for 18 instead. Danny Haynes will be this season’s number 9.

Haynes’ number 14 shirt has gone to Bradley Pritchard this season. Pritchard wore number 18 last season.

Newcomer, Salim Kerkar, has taken over from Gary Doherty as the number 12, while Jordan Cook will wear 17, formerly worn by Jason Euell. Lawrie Wilson will wear the scarcely seen number 23 shirt, which was awarded to Mikel Alonso last season.
