Isthmian South East Weekend Round Up

FA Cup and Kent Senior Trophy action meant only five Isthmian South East games took place on Saturday.

Despite that, the weekend’s round of games sees a new side at the top of the table, entries into the playoffs, and winless runs extended.

It was Beckenham Town that took advantage of Ramsgate’s absence to go top of the league. The Becks came from behind to win 2-1 at Deal Town, courtesy of second half goals from Jack Holland and Tyler Anderson, and sit one point ahead of the Rams.

Newly promoted Erith Town made their way into the playoffs following a 3-0 win over AFC Croydon Athletic. Ollie Milton and Harry Taylor gave the hosts an early two goal lead, before James Dyer wrapped up all three points at The Stanmore Stadium.

Sevenoaks Town left it late but inched closer to the top five with a win over Hythe Town. Ayomide Majekodunni’s 85th minute goal moved Sevenoaks to ninth, and within two points of fifth.

Phoenix Sports remain winless in their opening six games following a loss at home to East Grinstead Town. While the home side led through Ross Obazee, the visitors came from behind with Matthew Daniel and Matthew Weaire to snatch a first three points away from Phoenix.

Three Bridges also remain in the relegation zone and without a win after defeat to Littlehampton Town. A goal-filled game saw Littlehampton open the scoring with Scott Faber, but a further two opening half goals from Archie Burnett and Nodirbek Bobomurodov tipped the lead in the the Bridges’ favour. Jordan Layton levelled the game for the visitors from the spot, before Faber grabbed his second of the game and all three points for Littlehampton.
