Today was the day that fans of Kent’s Isthmian League clubs and the club themselves found out their fixtures for the 2020/21 season.
First up for them was discovering what date the season gets underway and that will be Saturday 19th September.
There are some interesting opening fixtures for Kent’s sides in the Premier division, with Cray Wanderers at home to Kingstonian. Whilst Margate and Folkestone Invicta both get their seasons underway with away trips. Margate are on the road to Brightlingsea Regent and Folkestone make the trip to Worthing.
With the opening fixtures digested the next ones up to look at where the Kent derbies, and Boxing Day throws up Margate at home to Folkestone, with the return fixture coming on Easter Monday.
The South East Division has a couple of derbies for the first home game of the season for Sittingbourne as they host Whitstable Town. The other opening day derby will see Ashford Town entertain Phoenix Sports.
Some of Kent’s sides will start with home fixtures. Those clubs include Hythe Town who host Burgess Hill, Herne Bay are at home to Whyteleafe and VCD entertain Whitehawk.
On the road for their opening games of the season are Faversham Town who head to Guernsey, Ramsgate who travel to Chichester City and Cray Valley who head to Hastings.
Again looking at the Boxing Day fixtures there are a number of Kent derbies, Herne Bay will play host to Faversham. Ashford will be at home to Whitstable, Hythe will host Ramsgate. Sittingbourne will welcome Phoenix Sports and VCD will welcome Cray Valley.
