An uninspiring display from the Invicta Dynamos saw them draw 1-1 with Cardiff NIHL Devils on Halloween night.
It really was a horror show from the Dynamos against the Devils as they put in possibly one of their worst performances for many a year.
Fans had come to Gillingham in the hope that their side would get a morale boosting victory, but instead were subjected to a lacklustre display from an Invicta side seriously lacking in confidence.
With Damien King and Steve Osman added to the Dynamos roster, it looked like their much needed experience would be the difference for the youthful side, but they too couldn’t inspire their side to victory.
After a fairly uneventful opening ten minutes, the Dynamos finally broke the deadlock in the 13th minute when Osman perfectly set up Eriks Ozollapa and the import made no mistake.
The second period proved largely forgettable with neither side really getting into their stride and there were only sixteen shots on goal in the whole twenty minutes of play.
Once again the Dynamos went into the final period looking for that all important second goal, but it never came and with almost five minutes left the visitors levelled when Thomas Stuart-Dant fired through a crowd of players and past the unsighted King who had no chance.
Both sides called time outs in the final minutes with Dynamos looking the more likely to score, but in the end their inability to find the back of the net cost them dear and the Devils held out for a well deserved point.
The Dynamos have very little time to reflect on the draw as they head to Solent Devils on Sunday night and nothing short of a win will do for Head Coach Kevin Parrish.
