The Invicta Dynamos fell to their second consecutive 6-0 defeat in two days to Streatham IHC on Sunday night.
Dynamos were without Callum Best, Matt Foord, Ryan Giles and Harrison Lillis, but added the Mustangs forward Luke Thirkettle. Streatham were missing James Warman, Jordan Gregory, Ryan Webb, Joshua Condren and Nate Gregory but added Brett Sheppard and Alec Goldstone to their roster.
Streatham quickly opened the scoring with a close-range goal from Alex Roberts, 29 seconds into the game.
Joe Allen set the tone for the game as he stopped Andreas Siagris on the blue line, sending the Streatham forward stumbling backwards.
Dynamos first chance for a goal came when Oskars Ancitis fired a puck from the right wing but it was an easy save for Damien King.
Luke Thirkettle crashed Michael Farn into the boards which made the defenceman fall to the ice. Thirkettle was penalised for a two minute late hit.
Streatham controlled most of the play, but Allen skated past all three forwards and took a slapshot from the top of the circles which was deflected into the corner by King.
Streatham took a shot at Connor Morris who stumbled to save it. Number 21 slashed at the netminder which caught the attention of Arran Strawson who grabbed the forward and gave him a warning push away.
First period ended with the Dynamos trailing 0-1.
Second period begun and for the first five minutes the teams skated back and forth with several shots from Streatham on Morris.
Goal two for Streatham came when Farn sent a slapshot through a crowd of bodies at 25:38.
Allen was called for a two minute charging penalty which gave Streatham a powerplay opportunity.
Streatham pinned the Dynamos in their zone. Roberts shot the puck from close-range which hit the back of the net. Morris was not happy with the goal as a Streatham forward tripped him as the shot was mad. But the goal was allowed, Streatham lead 3-0 at 29:53.
Dynamos receive a powerplay opportunity as Jacob Ranson was sent to the penalty box for a two minute late hit.
Ryan Morgan acted like a wall and sent Rupert Quiney crashing to the ice on the Dynamos blue line.
Dynamos physically dominated the game, Jake Stedman and Thomas Beesley collided and it is the Dynamos forward who ended up on the ice. However, it was Stedman who received the two minute tripping penalty.
Second period ended with the Dynamos on the penalty kill and trailing 0-3.
Ranson opened the third period with a shot on Morris which the netminder deflected.
Dynamos still looking for their first goal as Allen and Anthony Leone linked up, but King caught the puck.
Streatham increased their lead even more with a powerplay, hat trick from Roberts as he fired the shot point blank range at 44:08.
Not long after, Streatham scored again increasing their lead to 5-0 as Ben Russell shot bottom right at 44:55.
Beesley was left alone with Morris as he skated up the centre of the ice, but he missed the net.
Ancitis and Adam Wood collided in centre ice and the Streatham defenceman went crashing to the ice. Wood retaliated but the two were separated.
Streatham replaced Damien King with Brett Sheppard with just under ten minutes to go.
Zosiak flattened Quiney against the boards and thee Streatham player did not appreciate that hit.
Streatham secured their sixth goal as Roberts fired another shot which Morris could not save. Goal scored at 49:19.
Last chance from Strawson as he skated with the puck to the centre circle and sent a rocket slapshot towards King who saved.
After 60 minutes, the Dynamos were defeated 6-0 after they tried to keep up with Streatham IHC who outshot them and ultimately took home the points.
