Indonesia next stop for Dixon
Indonesia next stop for Dixon

Next stop for Jake Dixon is Indonesia this weekend for the latest round of the Moto2 World Championship, where he will be looking to get back amongst the fight for the podium.

Last weekend ended in a DNF at the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix, when he crashed out from seventh place as he was beginning to close the gap to those in front of him and as a result is now 60 points behind in the title race, with 150 points still up for grabs.

Dixon arrives in Indonedia with his mind set on returning to the podium after two races outside the top three. In the last visit to Mandalika, the rider from Dover put in a great performance and, after a pretty competitive end to the race, he crossed the finish line just outside the podium positions, in fourth. Mandalika is a track that Dixon likes and this weekend he will be looking to better that fourth place.

Speaking ahead of the weekend, Dixon said: “I am really looking forward to Indonesia, I have been really fast there. I feel like we can do something really good there. I love all the oversea tracks. If we have been fast on tracks where I struggle, imagine what we can do next weeks.”
