Improvements for Ray in Misano
Improvements for Ray in Misano

After two long months with no racing for Brad Ray, he was finally back on track this weekend in Misano.

It is fair to say that it didn’t quite go to plan for Ray from the off, but in the three races over the weekend he improved race by race.

That culminated in a 17th place finish in the final race of the weekend, and gives him something to build on heading to his home round of Donington Park in around three weeks time.

In the opening race of the weekend on Saturday, Ray lined up in 23rd place on the eighth row of the grid. He managed to get away and moved up to 18th place, and that was where he would finish as he couldn’t make any further forward progress.

Then on Sunday morning, Ray was back out at the Italian track for the Superpole Race, a sprint race of just ten laps. Like yesterday, Bradley lined up on the eighth row of the grid, before ultimately crossing the line twentieth.

In the afternoon Ray took part in the final race of the weekend, crossing the line seventeenth and showing significant signs of improvement.

Speaking after the weekend, Ray said: “It wasn’t the easiest of weekends for me and the team.

“Today we made a step with the bike in both races, and I feel like we now have a direction to follow. Next up is my home round at Donington, which I’m looking forward to.”
