Star Slovakian and Invicta Dynamos 2021/22 Forward of the Year, Juraj Huska, has once again put pen to paper and committed to another season with the club.
Huska fills the first ‘import’ slot for 22/23 where his total club points tally now stands at 203 goals and 192 assists across 177 appearances.
A fan favourite, Huska has laid down his roots once again in Kent with the Mos having returned to the club from Essex in 2019, a season that saw him bow out of the campaign as the top points scorer.
In the 34 games played prior to covid the forward beat the netminder 40 times and setup a further 34 goals for a points tally of 74. The covid-forced break did not dampen the fine form he displays on the ice and last season he continued to rack up the points finishing the season having played 36 games, fired the puck across the line 36 times and assisted in a further 40 goals giving him a very respectable 76 points and clearly demonstrating he can consistently compete at this level.
His effortless displays on the ice together with his reliability, flair, and ability to turn games around did not go unnoticed by last season’s Player Coach, Anthony Leone, who subsequently honoured him with the deserved Forward of the Year accolade.
Incoming new Head Coach, Karl Lennon, also shares the same belief and respect in the skilful and experienced Slovak and did not delay in his desire to secure the prolific forward for the 2022/23 campaign.
Speaking on his success at signing Huska and his plans to utilise his valuable experience this season in a coaching capacity Lennon said “We’re delighted to have Husk back with us for next season. He was our forward of the year and for very good reason. He always delivers year on year and was a must for us to get back.”
“He comes not only with tremendous quality, but with huge experience and that will be a vital asset for us with our roster this season. He will assist in coaching this term, so we can leverage his knowledge in all aspects of our game. We can’t wait to get the season underway”.
Having agreed to return Huska said “Really happy to be re-signing with the Dynamos for next season and excited to have the additional coaching responsibilities with the team.”
“We had a tough year and I’m looking forward to getting the club back challenging next season. Can’t wait for the season to begin”!
