A Callum Harriott strike separated these teams in March with Huddersfield edging the Capital One Cup match, by the odd goal in five, three weeks ago.
Mark Robins and Chris Powell are fans of the 3-5-2 system and the pair are both likely to utilise it for this match.
The Terriers have injury concerns about Callum Woods and leading scorer, James Vaughan. Robins will be hoping international clearance comes through in time for him to include on loan Swansea defender, Jazz Richards.
Powell will be without injured trio Leon Cort, Chris Solly and Yann Kermorgant.
Ben Hamer will continue in goal with the three man back line of Michael Morrison, Dorian Dervite and Richard Wood in front of him.
The midfield quintet are likely to be unchanged from Saturday but Powell will have to make a choice between Joe Pigott and Marvin Sordell to partner Simon Church up front.
Kermorgant’s injury will mean that Powell will only be able to have one back up striker on the bench. Both Cameron Stewart and Callum Harriott could fill the role but for a tough away game, Powell may opt for pragmatism and include Andy Hughes.
Charlton could line-up like this:
Hamer; Morrison, Dervite, Wood; Wilson, Pritchard, Stephens, Jackson, Wiggins; Church, Sordell.
Subs: Alnwick, Evina, Hughes, Gower, Cousins, Stewart, Pigott.
Warwickshire whistler, Stuart Attwell, will be the man in the middle.
Games between these two teams are invariably tight and there may again be little between them.
