Holmesdale FC play their first home league game of the SCEFL Division One campaign on Saturday afternoon when they entertain Lydd Town at Oakley Road.

After a good pre-season Dale started their league fixtures with a 4-2 defeat at Kennington last weekend despite taking an early lead.

The Dalers goals coming from Dan Carpenter & Ola Rabiu, while Lydd make the journey across Kent on the back of an impressive 6-3 home win over Stansfeld last Saturday, Kladi Krasniqi, Connor Weatherall, Anthony Oladipopo, an OG and Dale Horton twice finding the net for Town.

When last season came to a premature end, Holmesdale were third in the table with Lydd sitting in fourteenth, Dale completing the double over The Lydders winning 4-1 away and 2-0 at home.

But Lydd manager Mickey Doyle has also added to his squad over the close season and will be looking to go better this time and build on their good start to the new campaign.

Dale manager Lee Roots has put together an impressive looking squad for the 2020/21 season and will be hoping they can start their home fixtures with a positive result.
