Holmesdale return to SCEFL Division One action on Saturday afternoon when they entertain second placed Greenways at Oakley Road in a match up between two of the early pace setters.
The Dalers are on a great run of form at the moment, since losing their first league game of the season they have gone on to win four in a row, including their FA Vase tie 2-0 at home to AFC Varndeanians last weekend, the goals coming from Sam Adenola & Ola Rabiu.
Greenways make the journey over from Aylesford having also made a great start to their campaign, The Greens have won four and lost one of their opening five games, defeating Forest Hill Park 2-1 at home last Saturday, thanks to a brace from Aaron Kleman, taking him up to four for the season so far.
The win for Rob Jeffery’s side taking them up to second in the table, level on points with leaders Kennington.
Last season’s games saw manager Lee Roots’ Dale side win their home game 2-0 in October, while Greenways won the reverse fixture in March 3-2. When the season came to a halt in mid-March Holmesdale were third and The Greens were ninth.
This match between two form teams should serve up an entertaining afternoon’s football for those attending as they look to build on their challenge at the top of the table.
The game kicks off at 3pm, entrance £7.
