The Sheffield Star carried a story suggesting Blades targets, Ryan Leonard and Ricky Holmes, would push for moves to Bramall Lane.
Holmes was said to be particularly keen to sample Championship football, and was alleged to have rejected the new deal on offer at The Valley.
Holmes returned for pre-season training on Monday and tieing him down to a new deal is high on Karl Robinson’s priority list.
The deal on offer is a good one, both in terms of money and length. The manager is confident that his charismatic winger will stay at The Valley.
