Holcombe player Matt Symonds has been selected by the New Zealand indoor team for the Nkosi Cup.

Symonds, 30, has six goals and 15 indoor caps for the Black Sticks and is set to compete in the second edition of this tournament, hosted in South Africa.

New Zealand kick off their campaign on 13 December against the hosts (19:45) before further pool matches against Ireland (14 December, 17:15) and Namibia (15 December, 16:15).

First then play fourth in one semi-final with second-place also meeting third.

The losers will contest for third place at the tournament and the winners the trophy.
