New Zealand international Deanna Ritchie has become Holcombe’s second summer signing following Jade van der Zwan’s arrival yesterday. 

Holcombe have added again to their squad as they prepare for the 2023/24 Vitality Division One South season, with Ritchie having played in the Indoor World Cup earlier this year.

Ritchie said: “I am incredibly excited and honoured to be joining the Holcombe family! I can’t wait to be over in the UK to meet the rest of the team and dive into the season ahead!”

Head coach Nick Bandurak added: “It is great to have Deanna on board for the 2023/24 season and I’m really looking forward to working with her in such an exciting year. As a senior international, Deanna has a wealth of experience at the top of the game and her ruthlessness in and around the circle will form a crucial part of our attacking threat.”

The team will compete in the Y1 Championships against Wimbledon, Southgate, ISCA, Hampstead & Westminster and Reading (tickets are available here – https://www.y1sport.com/products/y1-championship-2023-weekend-ticket) before they take on Sevenoaks (2nd September, 5pm) and Surbiton (9th September, 2pm) in pre-season friendlies at Holcombe Park.

Holcombe begin their league campaign with away fixtures against Southgate and Surbiton 2s. Their first home league fixture of the season is against Sevenoaks on 7th October (5pm).
