Holcombe are looking to return to winning ways as they face University of Birmingham on Saturday afternoon at Holcombe Park (16:00).
Holcs have started their Premier Division campaign with two wins and a defeat, beating Wimbledon and Bowdon by a goal apiece in the first two matches before losing 4-1 to Hampstead & Westminster last time out.
New Zealander Olivia Shannon will be looking to continue her impressive scoring run having netted in each of the first three matches while Holcombe could welcome back two former players in Lottie Bingham and Izzy Shelley.
Birmingham, meanwhile, have won one of their three matches and lost two. They beat Sutton Coldfield 8-0 on the opening day before losing 1-0 to Hampstead and then 6-0 to table-toppers Reading, who have made an impressive start to the season.
Those results leave Mark Moss’ side eighth, three points and three places behind Holcombe – though they have scored four more goals while conceding just one more than Holcs.
The visitors recently brought up their 250th consecutive Premier Division match and will be hoping to return to winning ways at Holcombe Park after back-to-back defeats.
Holcombe last faced this weekend’s opponents in the top-flight in February 2023, when they lost 1-0 at Holcombe Park in Phase Two as part of a double-header weekend.
Entry is free at Holcombe Park on Saturday with updates set to be provided across our social media channels. Our M1s also face Old Georgians following this match (18:30).
