Holcombe begin the second half of their Division One South campaign with a home clash against league leaders Surbiton 2s on Saturday afternoon (2pm).
The Londoners ran out 2-1 victors at Sugden Road thanks to a late turnaround in September after Emma Bandurak had given Holcs the lead.
Will Fulker’s side have won all 10 of their league matches but are unable to win promotion, and have also qualified for the semi-finals of the England Hockey Tier One Cup alongside Holcombe.
New signing Bethan Hodges could make her outdoor Holcombe debut having played in the last two Super 6s campaigns as Holcombe look for back-to-back Division One South wins, their final game before the Christmas break a 5-1 win away to relegation-threatened Wimbledon 2s.
Holcombe are also boosted by gaining promotion in their Super 6s Division One campaign, hoping to bring that momentum to their outdoor season as Nick Bandurak’s side look for an immediate return to the Premier Division.
Bandurak’s side are the top-scorers in the league with 33 in nine games (compared to Surbiton’s 32 in 10), though the visitors have the best defensive record with just 10 conceded compared to Holcs’ 16.
Entry at Holcombe Park is free on Saturday.
