Holcombe Hockey Club have confirmed the signing of Felix Tully from Loughborough Students for the 2024/25 season.
Tully, a current member of the Great Britain Elite Development Programme (EDP) alongside forward Alex Pendle, becomes Kwan Browne’s first signing since replacing Barry Middleton as Head Coach.
He helped Loughborough to a second-placed finish in Division One North last season as they missed out on promotion to the Premier Division by eight points.
They also finished sixth in the BUCS Men’s Premier (National) with 13 points from eight matches, just four points behind table-toppers Durham.
Tully represented Great Britain’s under-21s at the Sultan of Johor Cup in 2023 – GB finished fifth overall after coming third in Pool A, with the former Brooklands man on the scoresheet in a 5-3 win for Jon Bleby’s side over New Zealand in the fifth/sixth-place play-off.
On signing, Tully said: “I’m really looking forward to joining Holcombe at an exciting time for the club and I can’t wait to get to know the squad.”
Head Coach and Director of Hockey Browne added: “Felix’s direct style of play, speed and work ethic will add massive value to the squad and Premier Division this season.
“His addition to the team is truly exciting, and we are looking forward to seeing him in action.”
Further signings will be announced in the coming weeks.
