Holcombe Hockey Club have confirmed the arrival of Australian international Jordyn Holzberger as Nick Bandurak’s fifth summer signing.
Holzberger, 30, joins the squad ahead of Holcombe’s first season back in the Premier Division, following the arrivals of Mads Newitt, Kaitlin Cotter, Olivia Shannon and Hope Ralph.
She has scored seven goals in 63 caps for Australia and was a part of the Oceania Cup gold-medal winning side in 2013, while also winning silver at the Commonwealth Games in 2018.
On signing, Holzberger said: “I’m so excited to be joining Holcombe for the 2024/25 season.
“I can’t wait to meet all the girls & be a part of the team!”
Head Coach Bandurak added: “Jordyn’s experience at the top of the international game will make a fantastic addition to our squad and I’m really looking forward to seeing her impact on our attacking play this season.
“Her quality in the final third will be invaluable throughout this campaign and I’m very excited to have her as a part of this group at Holcombe Park.”
Further signings across both first-teams will be announced in due course.
