Holcombe Hockey Club have this evening confirmed the signing of New Zealand international Dom Dixon for the 2025/26 season.

Dixon, 27, has 36 caps for his country and played at his first Olympic Games in Paris in 2024 under former Holc Greg Nicol.
He becomes Kwan Browne’s third addition ahead of the 2025/26 season following the signings of Great Britain Elite Development Programme pair Ellis Robson and Tom Moorhouse.
More recently, Dixon competed in the 2024/25 Hockey India League (HIL) for eventual runners-up Hyderabad Toofans as they lost 4-3 to Shrachi Rarh Bengal Tigers in a close final.
The Kiwi was involved in every match for the Toofans as they put in an impressive performance upon the HIL’s return.
Dixon also played for the Falcons late last year in the first edition of the New Zealand Hockey Premier League. They finished as runners-up overall after finishing second in the pool to reach the final, where they were beaten 7-4 by the Alpiners.
His international honours also include appearances at the FIH Nations Cup, appearances in multiple seasons of the FIH Pro League, a World Cup, a Sultan Azlan Shah Cup and Olympic Qualifiers.
As a junior international, in 2016, he also appeared at the Sultan Johor Cup and in a Junior World Cup.
On joining Holcombe, Dixon said: A “I am really excited to join Holcombe and I look forward to working with Kwan and the team to achieve great things!
“I can’t wait for the upcoming season!”
Head Coach and Director of Hockey Browne added: “With his impressive performance at the Paris Olympic Games, Dom brings a wealth of knowledge and skill to the team.
“We are looking forward to working with Dom and are excited about what he will bring to our team dynamics.
“His experience and talent will undoubtedly inspire both players and supporters alike.”
We can’t wait to see Dom in the red & black!
