Holcombe Hockey Club have confirmed the signings of Ellis Robson and Tom Moorhouse for the 2025/26 season.

Robson, an England international, is currently part of the Great Britain Elite Development Programme (EDP) alongside Moorhouse. 

The former made his England debut last month in the FIH Pro League, winning four caps against India and Spain.

At 21, he has also represented his country in a number of junior tournaments, most recently the 2023 Sultan of Johor Cup and is also captain of Loughborough Students, who currently sit top of Division One North, a point clear of Brooklands with two matches to play, meaning the pair could soon both be part of a Premier Division promotion-winning squad.

Moorhouse also competed in the 2023 Sultan of Johor Cup and, last summer, was selected for England u21s’ EuroHockey Championship campaign, helping England to a fifth-placed finish in Terrassa, Spain.

Both Robson and Moorhouse have also competed in three separate Super 6s Division One campaigns during their time at Loughborough.

Robson has three goals for the university side so far this season, while Moorhouse has two.

On joining the club, Robson said: “I am really excited to be joining Holcombe for the upcoming season.

“I’m looking forward to working with Kwan and getting to know everyone around the team and club!

“Cannot wait to get started!”

Moorhouse commented: “I am looking forward to joining Holcombe for the coming season.

“I am also very excited by the opportunity to work with Kwan and the squad.”

Head Coach and Director of Hockey Kwan Browne added: “Ellis isn’t just any young talent; he’s a hard-working and skilled athlete who has shown immense promise.

“It’s undeniable that he has the potential to make a significant impact.

“I’m looking forward to working with him.

“Tom will bring a fresh energy to the team and inspire his teammates with his energy and ability.

“I am confident that Tom will make a significant impact both on and off the field.

“It will be thoroughly enjoyable working with him.”

Robson and Moorhouse will join Holcombe this summer ahead of the 2025/26 season and we cannot wait to see the lads in the red and black!
