Tunbridge Wells based racing driver Jake Hill is targeting a full season in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB after a successful first round.
Jake made his debut in the series at the season opener at Brands Hatch a few weeks ago and now he and his dad Simon are working hard to make sure that he can take to the grid this weekend.
With such a superb start to his first weekend ever driving a Porsche Carrera, Jake underlined his talented and at 20-years of age the potential is there for all to see.
Jake is currently sitting in second place in the championship after the first round where he finished with a second and third place in his class, and just behind leader Josh Webster.
Speaking about the first round at Brands Hatch and how much he wants to be able to race in the series for a full season.
Jake said: “To get two podium finishes in my first ever time in a Porsche – especially not having sat in the car before the Friday practice session – meant so, so much.”
“I really want to be part of the series throughout the year, especially as the series races at Le Mans in June, but it will mean we have to raise some additional funding. I know I can challenge for wins if I am part of the series, I love driving the car SO much so just want more!”
“Porsche Carrera Cup GB is shown live on ITV4 and repeated again on ‘Motorsport UK’ so it gets loads of coverage and Porsche are THE most prestigious brand in motorsport. So for investors to talk about ‘Porsche, Le Mans, BTCC’ it makes so much sense!”
“I can win races and challenge for the championship. I know I can. So now we need to find some supporters who believe I can too.”
