Defending BSB champion Tommy Hill is looking to use this weekend’s final round of the main season at Donington Park to boost his chances in the Showdown.
Swan Yamaha’s Hill currently leads the standings with 316 points and is looking to try out a few new things in Leicestershire.
Hill said: “We can use this round to try and keep moving forward, test some new settings so that we have tried what we need to before the first Showdown round at Assen.
“We are going into this last round of the main season knowing that we are safe in the Showdown, but also that every podium credit counts and can make the difference between winning the title so we need to be aiming for those six credits.”
Those six credits can only extend his lead going into the showdown in Assen later this month but Hill feels confident despite having not tested at Donington before.
He added: “We haven’t tested at Donington and most of the other riders have, but that doesn’t faze me it just makes me hungrier. Ideally we can have another good weekend and get the Swan Yamaha back on the podium so we can be ready for the Showdown.”
