Jake Hill is ready to take on the spectacular sweeps of his ‘home’ circuit, Brands Hatch, the 26 year-old from East Farleigh having already put a difficult opening weekend at Donington Park last weekend behind him.
“The positives to take from Donington Park were that we didn’t damage the car, we had a great balance in the car at the end, and because we didn’t score we go into qualifying with no ‘success’ ballast in the car ‘ added BRDC ‘Superstar’ Hill.
“The car felt great in terms of drivability, and we came away with some clear conclusions about what we need to do from here on in. Of course it was bitterly disappointing to have two engine failures and a puncture ruin all three races, but I have had worse, so I am all set and determined to be on the pace at Brands.
“The Grand Prix circuit is my favourite UK circuit. I love it and know it so well, and have had a lot of success here in the past. And of course it’s my ‘home’ track, so that makes it extra-special. The MB Motorsport Honda Civic Type-R has historically always been strong here, and I am more determined than ever to do well. I simply cannot wait to get back behind the wheel!
