Jake Hill will be joining AMD Tuning.Com for their Avon Tyres British GT Championship from Rockingham.

It is massive news for the BRDC Rising star and has been a long time coming for such a talented racing driver, winning races no matter the car or the series.

The 21-year-old will race alongside Graham Coomes in the GT4 category in the team’s Porsche 997 GT4. The opportunity arises for Hill as team boss Shaun Hollamby has decided to step back from driving and focus on managing the team.

Speaking about the opportunity of being able to race in such a prestigious series, Jake said: “Shaun and the guys at AmD have been so supportive of me right back to 2011 when I had a run in their VW Golf BTCC car, so I am really, really pleased to be racing with them – they are a great group of guys and I know the car will be good.

“It’s a hugely competitive series – there are 16 really strong cars in the GT4 class – 32 cars overall on the grid – but it’s a great place to show what we can do, and on a personal level hopefully establish myself as a full-time GT racer. I am hugely grateful to Sportif Motor Group and Fujifilm plus of course AmD for their support, and can’t wait to get back out racing again regularly.

Hollamby is delighted to have Jake racing for the team in the series for the rest of the 2015 season.

He said: “I really enjoyed Oulton, but think the combination of Graham’s experience and pace and the raw speed that I know Jake has will enable us to fight for wins. We saw the potential in Jake from his speed in Ginetta Juniors and supported him in his Ginetta G50 campaign, and he also tested our BTCC Ford Focus very impressively last year.”
