Jake Hill is back in action this weekend as the fourth round of the 2022 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship gets underway at Oulton Park.
Arriving at the picturesque Oulton Park, Jake Hill looks to continue his strong recent form – which has seen victory at the opening round at Donington Park followed by a further three podium finishes.
One of the most popular events on the BTCC calendar, the 2.23-mile Oulton Park regularly attracts huge crowds of more than 40,000 over the course of the race meeting.
Built into the natural contours of the Cheshire countryside, not only is it one of the country’s most-loved circuits but it has also gathered a reputation as one of the toughest tests for both car and driver.
Occupying fifth place in the Drivers’ Championship standings, with 103 points, Jake will have six seconds of Hybrid power to use per lap, giving up to an additional 30bhp when deployed, then will be able to use the full 15 seconds per lap for 10 of the 16 laps in race one, with the amount of laps available for the remaining two races dependent on Jake’s finishing position in each of the previous race – the higher he finishes the fewer laps he will have to use in the subsequent race.
Heading to Oulton Park, Jake looks forward to getting back behind the wheel of his WSR-run BMW 330e M Sport.
Speaking ahead of the weekend, Hill said: “Oulton Park is always a highlight of the season and one of my personal favourites. The WSR-BMWs have had strong results here before so I’m feeling very confident we can have a successful weekend and score plenty of points for ROKiT MB Motorsport.
“Last weekend I had the chance to race a BMW Touring Car of a very different kind – a 1975 BMW 3.0 CSL – racing at Dijon in France which was incredible – but now I’m looking forward to getting back in my BMW 330e for round four of the BTCC!”
