Kent’s Jake Hill continued his BTCC testing programme at his local circuit, Brands Hatch on Tuesday and summed up his day as ‘very productive’.
As MB Motorsport proudly announced their partnership with Blue Square….’MB Motorsport accelerated by Blue Square’ for the 2020 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship, the driver of the #24 Honda Civic Type-R took to the iconic Kent venue for the first time in the MB Motorsport Honda, joining 2019 Champions WSR, plus Team Dynamics, BTC Racing, Motorbase, Speedworks, TPC and others in getting essential data prior to the 2020 season.
“We had some technical issues this morning which restricted our running, however after lunch we had a dry circuit and my MB Motorsport Honda Civic Type-R was working superbly” smiled Hill.
“My engineer Craig and me worked through a very specific programme, achieved what we needed to, and came away with a very positive outcome on a day when most of the top teams were also on track”
Hill and his team-mate Sam Osborne will now focus on gaining more all-important data at the 2020 BTCC Season Launch at Silverstone next week, before focussing on the opening round of the season at Donington Park on 28/29th March.
“We have learned an awful lot, and me and Sam have been getting to know the Honda Civic Type-R and so far so good!
“I literally cannot wait for Donington! I love the circuit, love this car and am hugely proud to be part of this programme. Whatever happenes I will give absolutely everything in what is the toughest motorsport series in the UK – the BTCC. I’ve Won one race, I’d love to win more….let’s try and see if we can!”
