Talented young Hever Castle golfer Jensen Hull was beaten in the semi-finals of the British Boys Amateur Championship at Royal Portrush GC on Saturday.
Hull, this year’s Kent Under-18 team captain, lost 4&3 to the eventual winner of the title, Conor Gough (Stoke Park).
Meanwhile back in Kent Conor Byers (Langley Park) produced a superb performance in the Kent Youths’ Championship at Knole Park GC on Friday.
Byers shot a course record seven-under-par 63 in the first round on his way to a two-round total of 137, which gave him a three-shot victory over George Young (West Malling). Young finished runner-up on countback over Jamie Guppy (Littlestone).
