Bromley got their league campaign off to a perfect start with an impressive display against another side expected to be challenging at the top of the table this season thanks to three stunning strikes from outside the box.
The game began with Bromley pushing forward and looking to be positive and it paid off after just 6 minutes when Moses Ademola scored a spectacular strike from 20 yards out which flew into the roof of the net.
With Havant struggling to cope with The Ravens impressive passing football the visitors made it 2-0 on 18 minutes when the superb Ali Fuseini hit a sweet volley from 30 yards over Young to make it 2-0.
The home side responded to the early set backs by battling back into the game with Ryan forcing a fine save from Seb Brown, but Bromley also continued to make chances with Harry Grant firing over following more good work by Fuseini.
Just before the break Rob Swaine was involved in a clash of heads with former Bromley striker Shamir Mullings which saw both men receive lengthy treatment and eventually force The Ravens captain off early in the second period.
Bromley started the second half in great style with Grant forcing a save from Young after good work by Ugo Udoji, but as things settled down Havant had the best of things.
Fuseini cleared a Mullings header off the line, Harris shot wide, Ryan was denied by Brown and Donnelly hit the bar with a free kick.
After The Ravens had weathered the storm they then found their feet again with Grant having a header tipped over by Young before a minute later Pierre Joseph-Dubois put the game beyond doubt with a fantastic strike from 20 yards after a great ball from Jamie Slabber.
Grant had a goal ruled out for offside soon after a great move. The home side pulled one back on 79 minutes when Adam Bailey-Dennis was penalised for a push and Donnelly tucked away the penalty, but they failed to build on this.
Bailey-Dennis had a header saved by Young soon after and Adam Birchall had two efforts saved late on, but the three goals were enough to see Mark Goldberg’s side register three points to start the season off with.
