Bromley winger/striker Reeco-Hackett-Fairchild has joined League One Portsmouth FC for a club record transfer fee believed to be in the region of £100,000.

The 21 year old joined Bromley from Charlton Athletic in the summer having previously had a loan spell at Hayes Lane last season.

Hackett-Fairchild has played 23 games for Bromley this season, scoring 8 goals and quickly becoming a fans favourite with his displays out wide or behind the striker, using his pace skill and intelligence.

His injury time equaliser away at Dagenham & Redbridge in September live on BT Sport will have caught the attention of all the viewers that night.

Hackett-Fairchild joins a select list of Bromley players who have commanded a transfer fee in Jon Goodman (Millwall in 1990), Dean Wordsworth (Crystal Palace 1996) and Landry Zahana-Oni (Luton Town (1999).

In recent times the production line of talent to go into the Football League has seen a number of players move up including Sam Wood (Brentford), Harrison Dunk (Cambridge Utd), Ryan Hall (Southend), Moses Swaibu (Lincoln), Josh Rees (Gillingham) and Louis Dennis (Portsmouth).
The most recent move highlights the shop window playing for Bromley gives young talent looking to make it in the professional game.

Manager Neil Smith will be hopeful some of the transfer fee will be available for him to plug the gap losing Hackett-Fairchild has caused.
