Following last week’s FA Cup defeat at Rochdale, Bromley travel north again this Saturday to play Guiseley in the National League.
Neil Smith has been without key defenders Ben Chorley and Tyrone Sterling due to injury and they look to be joined by Roger Johnson who pulled up early in the cup tie and possibly Jack Holland who was forced to withdraw from England C duty this week with a knock. Strikers George Porter and Brett Williams are both suspended for the match, which may give another opportunity to new signing Tarshan Adeyinka to impress.
The big forward made his debut as sub at Rochdale after receiving international clearance from his Swedish club the previous day.
Dan Johnson & Josh Rees were both on England C duty in Slovakia on Wednesday and although it is an honour for the club, they will be hoping both return to Hayes Lane unscathed from the Three Lions 4-0 defeat.
The Ravens have only recorded one draw from their last three games, but are still in a healthy position in the table sitting seventh with 28 points from 18 games.
Guiseley are on a good run since changing managers and will be keen to keep the form going, last Sunday they drew 0-0 at home to Accrington Stanley in the FA Cup and have moved up to 20th in the league after a tough start. Former Barrow Manager Paul Cox overseeing the revival of the Yorkshire side.
Last season Bromley won 4-1 at Nethermoor Park in August and the clubs shared a 1-1 draw in April at Hayes Lane, a result that went a long way to guaranteeing Guiseley’s league safety.
This will be a tough assignment for the small Bromley squad and Neil Smith and his coaching staff will have to look for a big display from the available players who have the chance to make a claim for a regular start.
