Greenidge returns to Dartford

Dartford have today confirmed the return of striker Jordan Greenidge, who arrives as the first signing of Ady Pennock’s tenure.

On the signing, Pennock said:

“I’m pleased to make my first signing and to welcome Jordan back to Dartford. He will provide another option in attack and hopefully score some important goals for the remainder of the season”.

Greenidge first joined the Darts on loan from Weymouth in the 2021/22 season, where he scored three league goals under Steve King. His first goal came in a 4-2 loss to Chippenham, while his last two came in the 6-0 and 7-2 thrashings of Slough and Eastbourne. He also scored three goals in the cups, against Dover and Welling United.

The striker boasts a wealth of experience at different levels. He particularly thrived at under 18 level for Stoke, where he scored a recorded 19 goals in 33 U18 Premier League games. In the 2018/19 season, he gained experience playing in Cyprus and Spain for Omonia Nikosia and CD Badajoz. Additionally, he notched some EFL experience with Newport County, scoring one goal in the League Cup.

His most productive spell to date, however, has been with Tonbridge Angels. Since his arrival at Tonbridge from Hemel Hempstead last season, he has scored 22 goals in 54 league appearances, with eight of those coming in this campaign.

Dartford have a tough task on their hands for the remainder of the season, with Pennock labelling their upcoming games as “eleven cup finals”. Greenidge will likely have a large role to play in their relegation fight, in a side that have struggled to find the back of the net for most of the season.
