Games are coming thick and fast for Glebe who host Welling Town on Tuesday at Foxbury.
They are four games behind the joint Southern Counties East Football League pace setters, Chatham Town and Sheppey United so have two games a week for the next few weeks.
On Saturday, they hosted the Chats in an entertaining game, despite difficult conditions, and the two teams settled for a goal-less draw.
Meanwhile, Welling Town picked up a three-one win at Tower Hamlets, taking them into fifteenth place with safety pretty much guaranteed. Since Darren Manning took the management reins they have eased their way up the table. Crucial to their success has been striker Adebola Sotoyinbo who scored his seventeenth goal since joining the Boots in that game. Joao Carlos scored a brace.
When the two teams met at the Efes Stadium at the end of November, Welling inflicted one of only two league defeats suffered by the Foxes this season. It all looked plain sailing when Jamie Philpot opened the scoring in the tenth minute but the visitors failed to build on it.
Two goals in five second half minutes turned the tide with Emmanuel Adetokunbo and James Miles getting their names onto the score-sheet. That snapped a five game losing streak for the Boots
Although Glebe will be keen to avenge that defeat, and keep the pressure on the leaders, they will know that if they take their foot off the pedal, Welling Town will be ready to pounce.
