Gillingham boss Andy Hessenthaler says no decision has been made about the futures of on-loan duo Jo Kuffour and Frank Nouble.
The strikers are on loan from Bristol Rovers and West Ham respectively and they featured in attack for the sixth match in a row as the Gills lost 2-1 at Morecambe on Saturday.
Nouble scored late on from the penalty spot but Hessenthaler feels it was a frustrating game for the striker as the Kent outfit failed to leave the Globe Arena with any points.
“Not at the moment,” said Hessenthaler to Sky Sports when asked if there was any news about signing the duo permanently.
“We’re just getting on with the things we’re doing here and then we’ll see and take it from there.
“We’re budgeted to where we should be and probably over that.
“I thought Kuffour was different class (against Morecambe) but Frank drifted in and out of the game at times.
“I think he’ll be pretty frustrated with his performance but I think when he gets it he can make things happen.”
Both Kuffour and Nouble have shown more than enough in their time at Priestfield that they have what it takes to succeed in League Two.
Whether The Gills will be able to keep them beyond their loan spells is another matter.
Kuffour is said to be keen on staying with The Gills on a permanent basis, however it seems more likely that Nouble will return to West Ham.
