Gillingham have added to their goalkeeping options with the capture of Luca Ashby-Hammond on loan from Fulham.

The 23-year-old, who came through the youth system at Craven Cottage, is eligible for selection ahead of tomorrow’s Sky Bet League 2 fixture against Chesterfield. 

Ashby-Hammond may well be handed a start with Jake Turner believed to have picked up an injury, leaving just Glenn Morris as Gillingham’s only experienced goalkeeper.

Luca has previously played for Aldershot Town, Notts County and Crawley Town having also represented England from U15 to U20 level.

He has been allocated squad number 13 and could be straight into Priestfield and straight into the starting eleven.

With so many injuries already in the squad, manager Mark Bonner will be hoping to get through the weekend unscathed.
