Gillingham head to league leaders Crawley Town on Boxing Day looking to hand out their own Christmas stuffing.
Andy Hessenthaler’s side head to Sussex on the back of an eight game unbeaten run, however Steve Evans Crawley side aren’t top for nothing as they themselves haven’t been beaten in fifteen games.
With eleven points seperating the two sides before the game, The Gills will be keen to return to Kent with at least a point if they are to maintain their own promotion push, whilst restricting Crawley from running away at the top of League Two.
Hessenthaler will be forced into making at least two changes to the side that beat Bristol Rovers 4-1 last Saturday with Frank Nouble having returned to West Ham United following the end of his loan spell.
His place in the side will undoubtedly go to Jo Kuffour who will be playing his penultimate game for The Gills before his loan spell ends.
Charlie Lee will start his two game suspension having picked up his tenth booking of the season against Rovers with Matt Fish most likely to deputise for him at right back.
Injury doubts remain around skipper Andy Frampton who limped off in the first half of the Rovers game, while midfielder Curtis Weston picked up a knock in training on Tuesday.
Should they both miss out, that would force Hessenthaler into a major reshuffle of his side with Matt Lawrence and Chris Whelpdale poised to return to the starting line up.
It could also see a return to the bench for outcast Luke Rooney along with Simon King who has resumed training in the past week following a knee injury.
Therefore, The Gills could line up like this:
Flitney, Fish, Richards, Lawrence, Martin, Whelpdale, J Payne, Montrose, Jackman, Kuffour, Kedwell.
Subs: Gazzaniga, King, Rooney, Oli, S Payne.
