Gillingham Football Club have confirmed when they will visit Ashton Gate for their Capital One Cup 1st Round tie with Bristol City.

The Gills will head to the South West on Tuesday 14th August with kick off scheduled for 7:45pm.

This fixture will be Gillingham’s first of the new season with the league campaign starting on Saturday 18th August against Bradford City at Priestfield.

Before that, The Gills have got six pre-season friendlies lines up. The squad will head to France for a week at the start of July before starting their pre-season campaign with a game against Dartford at Princes Park on Saturday 21st July.

Meanwhile, former Gills coach Nicky Southall has announced that he has signed a playing and coaching deal with Whitstable Town.
