Gillingham have signed Navid Nasseri on a contract until the end of the season.
The 21-year-old has been on trial at the club for a couple of weeks but has impressed manager Steve Lovell sufficiently to earn a deal until May.
Nasseri featured for the Gills earlier this month, appearing as a second half substitute against Maidstone United in the Kent Senior Cup.
Navid, who has represented Iran at U21 level, spent a season with Swedish side Syrianksa having also had spells with Birmingham, Bury and Macclesfield Town.
The player has been given squad number 37.
After signing his contract he told the club’s official website: “It’s a good environment, I like to be creative and make chances for the team. I can play out wide or as a central midfielder.
“There’s a good buzz around the place and hopefully my quality can add to that.”
The deal is subject to international clearance.
