Gillingham Football Club have confirmed their first home pre-season fixture of the summer with Charlton Athletic the visitors.

Chris Powell’s newly promoted side will visit Priestfield on Saturday August 4th, two weeks before the start of the new league season., with kick off scheduled for 3pm.

It’s the second scheduled fixture for The Gills so far after Diss Town confirmed that they would be making a trip to Norfolk on Saturday 21st July.

More fixtures are set to be announced in the coming weeks, but a full pre-season schedule has been delayed by the sacking of manager Andy Hessenthaler.

With a new appointment of manager a priority for the club, more fixtures will no doubt follow in due course.
