Gillingham are back in action tomorrow evening fresh off the back of their two victories in the last week.
It shows that they have bounced back well from their 5-0 defeat to Scunthorpe just over a week ago, by knocking Watford out of the EFL Cup and coming from behind to beat Shrewsbury Town in the league.
Tuesday night the floodlights will be on and they are back in cup action once again, as they host League Two Luton Town in the Checkatrade Cup, formerly the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.
This will be their first group game in this stage, in the newly formatted competition that will see them also take on Millwall and West Bromwich Albion development side.
It is likely that Justin Edinburgh where possible will try and rotate his squad to give some of his players a much needed rest, and those that haven’t had much time on the pitch, some valuable game time.
Josh Pask has been impressive since signing on loan and he may not be risked after being replaced by Bradley Dack in the first half against Scunthorpe, due to a back injury.
Luton Town will confident going into the game against the Gills that they can beat the league one side.
They are currently second in League Two after an excellent start to the season and they will definitely be keen to take that into the checkatrade cup.
On Saturday they were 3-0 winners over Cambridge United, with Jack Marriott and Danny Hylton on target for the away side as well as an own goal.
Cameroon McGeehan is amongst the leagues top scorers with three goals so far this season, he has also chipped in with two assists.
A reminder also to Gills fans that the match kicks off at 7:30pm tomorrow at the Priestfield Stadium.
