Gillingham will ring the changes as Southend United visit Priestfield for the second time in four days on Tuesday night.
After the dramatic 3-3 draw in League One on Saturday afternoon, the two teams go head to head again, this time in the much maligned Checkatrade Trophy.
With fans having boycotted previous seasons, a low crowd may watch on as Ady Pennock hands debuts to the likes of Steve Arnold in goal and defender Ben Nugent.
Striker Conor Wilkinson will also come back into the side as his three game suspension doesn’t cover the Checkatrade Trophy.
It’s unlikely that Josh Wright will feature after the midfielder and Pennock fell out over his demotion to the bench on Saturday with last season’s Player of the season then dropped from the squad.
The visitors are also expected to make a number of changes to their side with kick off at 7:45pm.
