Justin Edinburgh’s side go into the game in a rich vein of form having been unbeaten in their last four outings.

The Gills boss will have both Ryan Jackson and Max Ehmer both available for selection despite being forced off in Monday afternoon’s 1-0 win at Bury.

Ehmer will have to wear a protective mask after breaking his nose, but is deemed fit enough to feature.

With George Williams back from international duty with Wales, Edinburgh has an almost fully fit squad in which to choose from.

Both John Egan and Bradley Dack are nearing a return, but won’t be risked until next week’s game against Sheffield United with Egan having trained all of this week and Dack having started training with the squad again today.

Cody McDonald will once again be one of the substitutes as The Gills go in search for a win against his former side.

Coventry boss Tony Mowbray has injury problems as the Sky Blues try to arrest their slide, which has seen them lose six of their last eight league games.

Andy Rose (hamstring), Marc-Antoine Fortune (calf) and Darius Henderson (calf) are all nursing injuries.

Midfielder James Maddison, who suffered a hip knock while away with the England Under-20 side, is also not expected to feature.

Goalkeeper Lee Burge (shoulder) and defender Reda Johnson (hamstring) remain sidelined for the season with their serious injuries.
